The name KAPLA comes from the Dutch term for “gnome planks”, KAbouter PLAnkjes.

KAPLA, invented in 1987 by the Dutchman Tom van der Bruggen, is an educational construction toy made of French pine wooden planks, very appreciated by children (from 3 years) as well as…adults.

Popular all over the world, KAPLA encourages children to think logically, it develops the creativity and stimulates the concentration, patience and perseverance.
